Leading up to the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and marking the 10-year anniversary of the Leaders' Summit on Peacekeeping, the 2025 Berlin UN Peacekeeping Ministerial is the latest in a series of meetings held at the Head of State, Government, or Ministerial level.

The Co-chairs of the Peacekeeping Ministerial process are Bangladesh, Canada, Ethiopia, Ghana, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Rwanda, Uruguay, United Kingdom, United States and the United Nations Secretariat.

Rwanda’s Minister of Defense, Honorable Juvenal Marizamunda accompanied by Ambassador Igor Cesar, Defense spokesperson Brig Gen Ronald Rwivanga and Defense and Military Advisor to Rwanda Permanent Mission to UN, Col Deo Mutabazi is attending the UN Peace keeping Ministerial 2025 in Berlin Germany from 13 to 14 May 2025. The meeting focuses on the future of peacekeeping, reforms necessary as well as pledges from member states.

Alongside the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial,  Honorable Juvenal Marizamunda had the opportunity for exchanges with amongst others:
